Dear Fairport Football Family,
Welcome to Coach David Whitcomb, the new Fairport Varsity Football Head Coach!
Coach Whitcomb is an experienced teacher-coach with a track record of success wherever he has been, but more importantly he is a quality person who will fit well in our Fairport Family.
He has been a PE teacher, coach and administrator in Section V for over 30 years. He recently retired as the Athletic Director in Geneva. He has coached at Avon, Aquinas, Midlakes and Geneva where his teams won (6) League titles, (6) Section V titles, (3) Western Regional titles, made (2) NYSPHSAA State Championship game appearances and won the 2006 Class B State Championship (Geneva). He has also been recognized by his peers with numerous Coach of the Year awards and is the only coach in Section V history to win sectional titles in football at three different schools.
We all know that we have alot of hard work to do to be ready for opening day on August 16th, but anything that is worth having takes hard work. We have been waiting a long time to finalize the appointment of our Head Coach - I appreciate everyone's patience during this time period - so now lets continue our work to move the Fairport Football program forward. I look forward to working with Coach Whitcomb, the Football coaching staff, our student-athletes and community to make that happen - I am confident we are up to the challenge.

The Fairport FIRST Robotics Team is offering their annual Chalkraider Fundraiser. A Chalkraider is the Fairport Raider logo that is sprayed on a driveway or front walk in a red chalk that washes off over the course of about 4 months. A Raider is $15 and for no extra charge a message of Good Luck Seniors, Go Raiders, or a customizable message (w/ a limit of 20 characters) can be sprayed as well. New Weight Room Hours - PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN AFTERNOON HOURS
Summer Hours:
7:30 am - 9:30 am Monday - Friday
12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Monday - Thursday

The Meet the Team for the Varsity and JV teams is (tentatively) set for August 25th at 6pm. We will be looking for parents to volunteer to assist during this event. We will need folks to pick up donated food, food servers, folks to clean up after dinner, and clothing sales. We generally like to see parents of Freshman or Modified players help out to allow the parents of the JV and Varsity teams to have dinner with their sons and be involved in the meetings.
